Year Round Job Openings

Membership Manager

Description:

The Festival of Arts Membership Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive membership program that fulfills the mission statement of the Festival of Arts and provides year-round exposure. This includes membership acquisitions and retention, upgrading and fulfilling membership benefits; creating and maintaining excellent relationships with the Festival’s membership and potential donors; and strategic planning of and attendance at all membership events and activities. The membership manager is responsible for managing the membership budget and overseeing adherence to bylaws and the board election process. Hours:

Off-season mostly Monday to Friday business hours, 8am to 5 pm with occasional nights and weekends. June, July and August may include weekdays, weekends and evenings, depending on the needs of the business. Expected to be frequently on the Festival grounds in the evenings in July and August.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is year-round, salary and exempt. Salary range $67,000 to $74,000 annually. Generous benefit package with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403(b) with company match after 1 year of service, paid sick leave, accrued vacation and 19 paid holidays. Property Maintenance Technician

Description:

The Property Maintenance Technician position is full-time, year-round and hourly non-exempt. The position is responsible for grounds maintenance for the Festival of Art’s property with additional duties such as plumbing, electrical, painting, and communication systems maintenance. This position acts as a working supervisor during the summer season evenings. The ideal candidate would have experience in multiple trades of construction as well as stage sound and lighting. Hours:

Off Season: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm but includes occasional weekends and/or OT for special events and OT hours and/or weekends closer to the start of the summer season. July and August this position works evenings, 6 to 7 nights a week (hours may vary) and will oversee seasonal operations department staff as needed.

Ticket Operations Coordinator

Description:

The Ticket Operations Coordinator position is full-time, year-round, and hourly, non-exempt. The Ticket Operations Coordinator assists in building and maintaining an efficient and effective Ticket Office system and operation, including ticket sales, programming, and support services. Hours:

Position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday off season. May be required to work evenings, weekends and overtime in December, June, July, and August. Schedules may change depending upon the needs of the business.

Compensation and Benefits:

$30 to $33 per hour. Hourly rate plus generous benefit package with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403(b) (401K for non-profit) with company match, paid sick leave, vacation and 19 holidays.

Pageant of the Masters

Pageant Stage Crew

Age Requirement

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$17 – $18 per hour

Description:

Responsible for the physical setup of stage equipment and movement of scenery to different locations during the Pageant performances.

Shifts Available:

Evenings, call time is 7:30 pm, will work every night from July 6th –August 30, 2024 (Additional dates in June are required)

Requirements:

Service oriented, good judgment, friendly, may have to walk up and down steps, able to stand or walk for long periods, and able to lift 50lbs.

Light Board Operator

Age Requirement

Must be 18 years or older

Wage:

$40 per hour

Description:

This position operates the Road Hog 4 lighting console for Pageant of the Masters dress rehearsals and performances.

Shifts Available:

Position runs from June 17 to August 30.

Must be available from June 17 to June 28th to assist with programming and attend rehearsals and then requires nightly attendance for the run of show July 3 through August 30th (off July 4).

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Road Hog 4 lighting console
  • Familiar with operations and maintenance requirements for light board operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to maintain focus in a high-pressure and environment.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends, 7 days a week preferred.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various types of weather, walk up and down stairs and meet the other physical demands of the job including standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting/moving objects up to 40 lbs.

Security/Event Staff

Pageant Usher

Age Requirement:

Must be 16 years or older

Description:

Ushers are responsible for welcoming the public to the venue, making sure they are seated in a timely manner; ensuring their safety and well-being while on property.

Event Staff

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

$17.50 – $22.50 per hour

Description:

Patrol Festival grounds, provide security for staff, patrons, & artists. Welcomes the public to the venue at the entrances and ensures their safety and well-being while on property.

Shifts Available:

Day, evening, & midnight shifts.

Polite and professional demeanor, service oriented, and friendly.

Event Staff (Midnight)

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$17 – $18 per hour

Description:

Patrol Festival grounds, provide security for staff, patrons, & artists. Ensures the grounds are closed and secure throughout the night. Able to answer questions from passersby’s, yet still maintain a strong security posture.

Operations Crew

Age Requirement

Must be 16 years or older

Description:

Cleans and maintains grounds area, performs janitorial duties.

Shifts Available:

Day, evening.

Requirements:

Dependable, able to follow direction, friendly, service and safety oriented. Position stands and/or walks for long periods, able to lift up to 25lbs, work outside.

Guest Services

Ticket Sales and Services

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$18.50 – $19.50 per hour

Description:

Sells reserved seats to Pageant of the Masters and provides auxiliary ticket services and Festival information.

Shifts Available:

Days, evenings; some positions start in May.

Requirements:

Customer service skills, and computer skills. Window and phone positions available; no telemarketing. Must be at least 18 or high school graduate. Day and/or evening shifts available. Available to work through September 1st or close to it.

Ticket Taker
(Main Entrance)

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$16.50 – $17.50 per hour

Description:

Greets patrons as they enter or exit venue, scans ticket or verifies as appropriate, answers general questions.

Days, evenings

Requirements:

Friendly, service oriented, available days, nights, and weekends. Must be at least 18 or high school graduate.

Sales & Merchandise

Souvenir Program & Raffle Ticket Sales

Age Requirement:

Must be 16 years or older

Wage Range:

$16.50 per hour. This position is eligible to earn bonuses for program/raffle sales.

Description:

Sells souvenir programs and/ or raffle tickets to patrons. This position may also work in the gift shop.

Shifts Available:

Night shift, must be available from 5 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements:

Outgoing, service oriented, friendly, available nights & weekends, position stands/walks for long periods.

Gift Shop Sales

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$16 – $17 per hour

Description:

Greets and assists patrons with purchases, handles transactions, restocks merchandise area, keeps area orderly. This position may also work as souvenir program and/or raffle ticket sales.

Days, Evenings

Requirements:

Outgoing, service oriented, cash handling and retail sales experience; able to lift 10-25lbs. Available days, nights, weekends.

Blanket Sales & Binocular Rental

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$17 – $18 per hour

Description:

Sells blankets and rents binoculars to patrons.

Shifts Available:

Night shift, must be available from 4:30 pm – 11:30 pm.

Requirements:

Outgoing, friendly, service oriented, available nights, weekends, position stands and/or walks for long periods.

Exhibits & Art Education

Art Education Workshop

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$16.50 – $18.50 per hour

Description:

Assists patrons with hands on art projects in mixed media or print making

Shifts Available:

Weekend days, evenings

Polite and professional demeanor, service oriented, and friendly.

Fine Art Sales Associate

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older

Wage Range:

$17.50 – $21 per hour

Description:

Assists patrons with sales of art when Artist is not present and provides information on Exhibitors. Responsible for point of sale, art handling/shipping, and answering Patron’s questions.

Shifts Available:

Weekend days, evenings

Requirements:

Experience in fine art sales, art handling, and service oriented.
