Performers: Nathan and Noah East
Nathan East, a founding member of the chart-topping contemporary jazz group Fourplay, embarked on his musical journey at just 16, touring and recording with Barry White. The doors kept opening, as Quincy Jones reached out next, leading to four decades of hit-making collaborations with artists such as Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Lionel Richie, and many more. In 2014, East released his Grammy-nominated solo album “Nathan East,” featuring luminaries like Michael McDonald, Sara Bareilles, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and notably, a duet with his son, Noah.
Noah East is an accomplished touring and session pianist & organist, displaying exceptional talent from a young age of four, when he began playing the piano after his parents discovered that he had perfect pitch. At 13, he made his professional debut as a featured keyboardist on his father Nathan East’s Grammy-nominated solo album. His musical journey has taken him to prestigious venues worldwide including the Kawasaki Jazz Festival in Japan, the iconic Tokyo Blue Note Jazz Club, and the Long Beach Jazz Festival.
In April 2025, Nathan and Noah released their debut duo album, Father Son. The album blends original compositions with fresh interpretations of classics—including a reimagining of The Beatles’ “Yesterday.” They’re joined by a stellar lineup of friends and collaborators, including Eric Clapton, Hubert Laws, Seiko Matsuda, Merry Clayton, Billy Valentine, and more.
