Cantaluna

The music of Cantaluna floats on the air like a cool breeze off the ocean.  Playing bossa nova and Latin jazz influenced music on acoustic instruments, Cantaluna is fresh and lively.  Singing in multiple languages, Monica Lopez is a vocalist with a captivating and emotive style that truly engages listeners.  Jason Wolverton on nylon string guitar provides traditional accompaniment and sweet interjections, while Sathya Burchman plays melodious and funky bass influenced by jazz and Afro-Latin traditions.  Percussionist David Meyler (who’s performed with many Latin jazz greats) provides the all important earthy groove that keeps things swinging.
