Friends of the Festival at foaSOUTH

The Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach is pleased to present Friends of the Festival: Selections from the Dan Dutton Collection, a special exhibition drawn from a recent acquisition from the estate of longtime Festival supporter Dan Dutton. A familiar presence at the Festival since the 1980s, Dutton spent four decades deeply engaged with artists, staff, patrons, and the Laguna Beach community while managing fine art sales booths and thoughtfully building a personal collection of Festival artwork.

Featuring works by twenty-six Festival artists, the Dan Dutton Collection reflects the enduring relationships formed through years of shared creative exchange. This exhibition offers a first look at twelve selected works, several by artists not yet represented in the Festival of Arts Permanent Art Collection. Together, the pieces illustrate how art collected through friendship, support, and mutual respect becomes a record of personal connection as much as artistic achievement.

Friends of the Festival: Selections from the Dan Dutton Collection is on display now through March 30, 2026 at foaSOUTH, located at 1006 S. Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach, CA 92651. This exhibit is part of the Festival of Arts’ ongoing series of shows held at this location year-round. The gallery is open to the public daily 8am – 9pm. Admission is free.
