About the Class
Create a beautiful one-of-a-kind print! Using a variety of colorful handmade papers and hand cut relief blocks, students will learn the basics of monoprint, collage and overprint techniques in this creative printmaking class. Beginners and all levels are invited – take home your finished masterpiece! All supplies and complimentary wine or beverage are included.
Must be 21 or older to participate.
Meet the Instructor
Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Vinita Voogd studied art at the prestigious College of Art, University of Delhi. At a very early age, Vinita was introduced to art spending countless hours each summer, drawing with her grandfather. At age six she announced to her supportive family of businessmen, women and engineers, she was going to be an artist.
Vinita met her American/Dutch husband in India and moved to California in 1981. Majoring in printmaking, Vinita studied with the acclaimed artist John Paul Jones at UCI. Vinita has been creating fine art prints over 30 years since 1982.
Vinita teaches all levels of Printmaking at Saddleback College and Golden West College. Vinita has taught numerous workshops at Colleges, Universities and print studios here and abroad. She recently completed a month long residency in Venice, Italy. Vinita served as President of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society. She is involved in the art community serving on two non-profit Boards.
Vinita is currently re-examining the power of line in her artwork, using lyrical gestural movement, connecting her childhood, family and travels as subliminal influences. Vinita maintains a working print studio in her home in Mission Viejo.
All students are required to fill out and sign a waiver before they can participate in a Wine and Painting class. Please complete and submit the waiver prior to the class for a more quick and easy check in process.
