Performer: Evan Stone Quartet

Evan Stone has toured the United States with trumpeter/bandleader Maynard Ferguson and traveled throughout Australia and New Zealand with pop artist Toni Childs. Evan formed the Progressive/New Thing Rock band Salty The Pocketknife which released their debut recording in 2003. When not leading his own bands throughout the west coast, Evan tours with the Greg Adams Band (Tower of Power) and pop artists Aly & AJ.

Nick Mancini is a vibraphonist, bandleader, composer and arranger. His original compositions as well as cherry-picked jazz standards create the fertile soil for spontaneous arrangements, which are, at once, fresh, incisive & cinematic. With a host of world-class musicians in his midst, he selects from the cream-of-the-crop to form his highly energized ensembles. Mancini, at the helm of this rotation of LA’s most creative & inventive musicians, will tempt your curiosity and leave you always wanting more.

Nick graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a masters degree in jazz performance and was a recipient of the President’s Award scholarship. After 10 years of honing his craft in NYC, he relocated to Los Angeles where he is a faculty member at two California State University campuses; Northridge (CSUN) & Long Beach, Bob Cole Conservatory. He has seven independently released records under his own name; storyteller, West Coast Cool, No Questions Asked & Impulse between 2013 and early 2015, alone.
