Performer: Raffia Thomas
Raffia is a New York-born, Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter with a soulful, sultry, and passionate voice. Drawing influence from the rich cultural environment of Long Island, Raffia’s musical style blends ballads and up-tempo dance tracks, reminiscent of artists like Phyllis Hyman, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and Toni Braxton. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Education/Voice, Raffia’s talent has led her to work with a range of renowned artists, including Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Ledisi, Gloria Estefan, and Anita Baker.
Raffia’s journey to stardom began in 2009 when she became a finalist on P Diddy’s Making His Band. She has since performed on television shows such as The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty and Braxton Family Values. Raffia’s solo career as an R&B/Soul artist has gained traction, with performances at notable events like the Gardenia Jazz Festival, where she opened for jazz legends Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, and Mindi Abair.
Performer: Nicole Jackson
Nicole Jackson is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, actress, and producer based in Los Angeles. She first gained attention in 1995 with the release of her debut R&B album Sensual Loving, which featured the popular single “I Like.” The title track, “Sensual Loving,” was later featured on the New Soul Woman compilation, released by Expansion Records. This compilation, which highlights a diverse array of contemporary female soul and R&B artists, showcased Nicole’s soulful voice alongside other notable talents of the time.

Guaranteed seating is available by purchasing a ticket in the reserved section (“Nightclub” VIP seating). This ticket includes admission to the Festival of Arts Fine Art Show and the concert. Reservations must be made prior to 3:30pm the day of the performance. Limited free seating is available for each concert.
