About the Class

Did you know photographers could change the colors of their images before computers? Learn the exciting art of cyanotype with Peter Tiner! Used since the 1800s, Cyanotype is considered the easiest among historical photography printing methods. Using slides provided by the instructor, students will learn how to print using the sun and create images to take home! This class is a must for any budding artistic photographer.

Meet the Instructor

Peter Tiner was the art teacher at Laguna Beach High School for 21 years. He loved teaching art in the same town he grew up in. Peter received an art scholarship from the Festival of Arts in 1968 to pursue an education in art. He received a BFA from California College of the Arts, and a Masters of Arts degree from California State University Fullerton.

Class Waiver

Parents or guardians are required to fill out and sign a waiver before their child can participate in the Youth Arts Education classes. Please complete and submit the waiver prior to the class for a more quick and easy check in process.
