Artist Biography:
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Gerald Schwartz started painting at 16 years old, and has never stopped. Just out of high school he spent 5 years at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He has worked in many varied industries, such as; fashion magazines, freelance illustrator, photographer, and others. After considerable reflection he made the commitment to concentrate on his personal expressions, and has focused on that endeavor ever since. The Festival’s permanent art collection acquired his painting, Afternoon Shadows, in 2015. He began exhibiting at the Festival of Arts in 2004.
