Artist Biography:

Born in Texas and raised first in Wyoming and then in Colorado, Burr discovered art and cars at the same time. After school, concluding with degrees in English, and a career in an unrelated profession, clothing design, he returned to cars and art. Pencil drawings first and then acrylic paintings evolved to demonstrate an interest in an orderly, detailed world, unencumbered by people and the bluster they predictably create. People hover yet never intrude. His irrepressible sense of humor can be experienced in “Goatzilla” and “See The USA”, and is discretely exercised throughout all of the other pieces in this collection of prints.

From the Artist:

“'Let’s See About That' embraces empowerment of the individual. Her open armed gesture allures & threatens simultaneously, her wide brimmed hat conceals an implied mischief in her eyes. This dress, from the 1949 Christian Dior Spring/Summer collection, has all of its light-based sculpting removed so as to concentrate a focus upon the face and the chest. This is an elitist pairing, an haute couture dress and diffident model. It is darkness. She is light. The EUGOV discusses, in absentia VOGUE, the most recognized popular press item in the world. Known on all seven continents, its bound volumes tell us of our faults, suggest solutions, and entertains with the utter fantasy of it all. No one is as perfect as this world projects. No one is as careless. Done with absolute sincerity, we allow the soft, enveloping caress of the superficial to win."
