Artist Biography:

Jacques Garnier, born in Los Angeles, received his BA in French and MA in French Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His artwork has been shown and collected in museums, academic institutions, and galleries in the US, Europe, and China. He was one of 6 artists responsible for creating the world’s largest photograph from the world’s largest camera, an F-18 jet hangar at the now closed Marine Corps Air Station El Toro. His artwork, Lighter than Air, is a symbol of the transition that has come about in Orange County. It depicts the vacant blimp hangar, located in Tustin, California. It was added to the Festival’s Permanent Art Collection in 2017.
