Volunteer Spotlight
Volunteers are the heart of the Pageant of the Masters, helping create the unforgettable magic that brings each living picture to life. This month, we’re proud to feature dedicated volunteer Keith Grabiel as part of our ongoing Volunteer Spotlight series.
Volunteer Name
Keith Grabiel
Where are you from?
Trabuco Canyon, CA
How many years have you volunteered?
28 Years
What is your volunteer role?
Cast Member-Last Supper #12 (Simon)
What motivated you to start volunteering?
My son, Kyle, was modeling and doing commercials at the time back in 1998. My father’s friend was volunteering in Head Dress and suggested that we come to the Casting Call in January. We did come for my son, but then Butch convinced me to try out too. So I did. Soon afterwards, Casting asked me to be apart of the show that year instead of my son. My son eventually did volunteer for five years. My daughter has volunteered for 13 or 14 years. Noemi, my wife, has volunteered for over 20 years as well. It’s a family affair.
What’s your favorite part of volunteering?
It’s a camaraderie that is very unique to the Laguna Beach area. It is great to be apart of such a great show that is the only one like it in the world.
Thinking about getting involved? We’re now recruiting volunteers for the 2026 summer production of “The Greatest of All Time.” No theater experience is needed! Opportunities are available both on and off stage, including cast members who pose in the Pageant, as well as roles in wardrobe, makeup, headdress, cast area coordination, and hospitality.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Learn more here, or schedule an appointment by contacting the Casting Office at (949) 494-3663 or [email protected].
