September 20 – October 21, 2017

Opened as a collaboration between Festival of the Arts and Active Culture, foaSOUTH serves visitors and residents of Laguna Beach by promoting Festival-related exhibitions throughout the year.

foaSouth’s newest exhibit features the photography of artist Michael Heintz. After college in the mid 70s, Heintz travelled back and forth between California and South Dakota where he was born and raised. During these trips, he began photographing abandoned vehicles in open environments. He later refined his focus to vintage vehicles produced before 1950. In addition to being a photographer, he is also an accomplished jeweler. Heintz exhibited at the Festival of Arts for 13 years beginning in 1982.
