“My work displays the bond between all living things, mainly focusing on the spiritual connection between man and animal.”
Being an Artist is a state of mind, a conscious choice and it has been that way since Jon Edward was a boy. A California native Jon spent several summers and winters in Minnesota on the family farm coupled with traveling across U.S., Europe, Asia and Central America at an early age impacting the way Jon perceived the world and altered his approach to developing his art. Trained as a Painter and Ceramicist at Cal State Fullerton and a variety of workshops with artists such as Steve Huston, Paul Soldner, Jerry Rothman and Paul Day to name a few. All of whom influenced his philosophy and pursuit of a constant ever-changing sense of self-discovery and experimenting with new processes. Jon has exhibited in galleries in Laguna Beach and San Clemente and recently has been creating a series of bronze sculptures exploring the spiritual connection between Man and Animal using them as symbols to encode messages to decipher.
