Born in New York State, but raised in Southern California, Judith drew and painted in grammar school, took art classes throughout high school and junior college, and graduated from Orange Coast in 1967. During the next 12 years she traveled extensively, working for a year in Germany, then returning in 1977 to attend a year of University as part of an exchange program. In 1981 Judith received a BA in Studio Art from the University of California at Santa Barbara with an emphasis on printmaking, specifically etching, and in ceramics.
Starting in 2001, Judith embarked on a 3 year course of study in painting at the private school Mission:Renaissance, after which she immediately joined the Southern California Plein Air Painters Association. She became a member of the California Art Club in 2007 and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association in 2009.
In 2007, Judith retired from the Postal Service where she had worked for 25 years, and now paints full time. After honing her skills as a plein air and studio artist, Judith was honored to have her work accepted by the Laguna Festival of Arts for the
