ARTIST STATEMENT

“My intention is to showcase the spontaneity of nature, particularly in plant growth cycles. The work unfolds as I move through the process. My intention is to convey a sense of renewal and introspection.”

ARTIST BIO

Katlin Evans graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Montana in 2001. Upon graduation, Evans pursued her work with vigor, exhibiting her work in Missoula, MT; Portland, OR; New York City; El Paso, TX; Laguna Beach; San Francisco; and Culver City, CA. In 2009, Evans returned to school and received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from CSU Fullerton.

Evans now teaches foundations at CSU Long Beach and CSU Fullerton while maintaining a regular studio practice.
