“I hope to take my viewing audience on a journey, or spark a memory. To connect where words fail.”
Lesli Bonanni was born in Long Beach, California. She is a self-taught abstract artist currently working in Pastels. Her romantic, atmospheric horizons invite the viewer into the mood.
After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1996, Lesli decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an artist. The journey between desert and ocean were frequent, and the ever-changing, fleeting landscape from the car window awakened her senses. These memories would become her muse and inspiration.
In the studio, Lesli paints intuitively. Her works are personal and emotional, coupled with her enjoyment of the painting process. The sparse, minimalist compositions are intentional, as she is interested in distilling the landscape to reveal its essence.
Lesli earned a Certificate of Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute in Newport Beach, California. She works with designers to create custom art for their clients. Her works grace the walls of both commercial and residential interiors across the country. Her paintings have been accepted into several juried art shows, and selected images are licensed to the retail, interior design, hospitality and healthcare industry. She is represented by the American Art Company Gallery in Tacoma, Washington and Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach. Lesli works out of her home studio in San Clemente.
