ARTIST BIO
Born in Detroit, Linda Potichke studied at Wayne State University and the Society of Arts and Crafts (now known as the College for Creative Studies), both located in the city. She worked as a photographer there.
Moving to Laguna Beach in 1978, where she still resides, Linda also attended the Laguna Beach Institute of Art (now theLaguna College of Art and Design), as well as the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, in San Francisco. As a jewelry designer and goldsmith, she is largely self-taught.
Working in her field since 1983, Linda has exhibited in shows and galleries across the country, including the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, where she has exhibited continuously from 1988 through the present. She has won numerous awards for her work at many of those shows and, in 2002, was awarded the American Gem Trade Association’s highly-coveted Spectrum Award. She also owned a jewelry gallery in Laguna Beach for 18 years, and continues to have a studio there.
Linda’s work is mostly hand-fabricated in 18k gold. She incorporates rare and precious gemstones and pearls into her one-of-a-kind pieces. Her clientele includes international collectors.
