ARTIST BIO

Mahya Shamai is a California native who received her BFA in Studio Art from UC Irvine. Her work is a deep gaze into the nature of existence, extracting its most basic forms and finding sensuous patterns throughout all of creation. At her bright Laguna Beach studio, Shamai works on a range of drawings and paintings—portraits, abstracts, and custom work for interiors.
