ARTIST STATEMENT

“I paint everyday beauty, capturing light, color, and natural forms in intimate moments. Inspired by home and memory, my work seeks to transform the ordinary into something poetic, evoking warmth and nostalgia.”

ARTIST BIO

Michaela Yoro is a Southern California-based artist specializing in contemporary realism oil painting. She earned her BFA from California State University, Fullerton, in 2019 and pursued additional studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. Michaela has exhibited her work across Orange County, the West Coast, and Italy, showcasing at venues such as Figure Ground Gallery in Seattle, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, and Chemers Gallery in Tustin, where she is currently represented. Beyond her painting practice, Michaela is a dedicated instructor, teaching oil painting to students of all skill levels at various art centers throughout Orange County.
