“If my work inspires viewers to take time to observe and treasure the Earth’s unspoiled features, I have fulfilled my goal of sharing my appreciation of the planet’s intrinsic wonders.”
Phillip Nardulli has been working on his personal photographic art for over 40 years. First becoming a master black and white photographic printer, he is best known as founder of what was once one of America’s highest caliber photographic labs and digital printing facilities (Nardulli, Inc.) in Hollywood, CA. Nardulli, Inc. catered to some of the best commercial, fine art photographers and artists in the country.
For over 35 years, the global traveler has captured images of landscapes, people, botanicals and ancient architecture on six continents. He uses a variety of cameras to convey the timeless quality of the human element and Earth’s features. He uses silver gelatin and ink jet printing on conventional and handmade papers to emphasize the timelessness of natural and human forms. As of late, Nardulli’s work is focusing on environmental portraits of people in their home countries. His approach to photography has always been a simple appreciation of the landscape, the human element and natural objects found in everyday life as well as the inspirational sites he discovers during his travels. He conveys his quiet sense of his subjects in his photography.
Nardulli’s numerous exhibits include: Forrester Gallery, Oamaru, New Zealand Farmani Gallery West Los Angeles, Santa Ana City Hall, Focus on AIDS, Venice, CA Directors Guild, Hollywood Remy’s on Temple, Los Angeles Palm Springs Photo Festival, 2013 Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and John Wayne Airport.
