“I strive to capture images of transitory subjects and evoke a unique, transcendental, and timeless beauty that did not exist in the original scenes.”
ARTIST BIO
Richard Kendrick Ferncase served for thirty-one years as a professor of filmmaking, cinematography and computer graphics at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCI in art as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in motion picture and television production from UCLA. He is a published author, with two books on motion picture lighting, an authoritative volume on Apple’s QuickTime application, and a monograph on American independent films of the 1980s. His award-winning images have garnered dozens of awards and graced numerous exhibitions worldwide and are collected in the USA and abroad.
