ARTIST STATEMENT

“My camera is my artistic tool. As I carry my camera around the world, I see artistic composition and capture beautiful and intriguing images, which I carry home to evolve into fine art imagery.”

ARTIST BIO

Sharon Whalen has held a camera since she was a little girl, always taking photographs. In her career, Sharon grew to become a corporate executive, but always stayed true to taking photographs. Currently, Sharon devotes all her time as an artist to photography. She and her camera have been to many places around the world to capture the changing light on the landscapes and its inhabitants, creating interesting images.

Sharon has studied the process of gold gilding of photographic images, applying fine metal sheets behind images, allowing them to magically evolve into fine art imagery.
