Kick off your weekend at the Festival of Arts with a salute to Americana! This series features some of Southern California’s most talented in the Americana genre, playing a variety of instruments such as banjos, guitars, harmonicas, and more. Experience a fusion of different musical styles including folk, country, blues, and bluegrass, all with a unique American twist.

Performer: Acoustic Asylum

Acoustic Asylum is what happens when you take some of LA’s best recording and touring musicians and turn them loose in an organic setting. No electronic tricks, no stylistic limits… just having fun and making incredible music. From Swamp Funk, to Jazz, to Klezmer and Tango, to Pastoral Heartfelt Moods and Quirky original and covered Songs, nothing is off limits!

Acoustic Asylum is led by award winning composer and producer Dan Radlauer on Accordion. On guitar is the acclaimed guitarist and band leader, Carl Verheyen. Mark Hollingsworth is one of LA’s top woodwinds players and gives the band part of its unique sound playing Clarinet and Baritone sax. Banging the Bass is one of the finest recording and touring musicians on the West Coast; Dave Marotta. On Drums is the highly versatile Gordon Peeke with a career spanning from Michael Jackson to The Woody Herman Band. And on Violin, the multifaceted Megan Shung brings her genre bending violin sounds.

Concerts are free with Festival of Arts Admission. Limited “nightclub” seating available in reserved section for $45 per person per concert. Reservations must be made prior to 9pm the night before the performance.
