On this page you will find postings for seasonal positions for the months of July and August.  Other seasonal positions may be posted closer to the start of the summer season. Most positions pay between $10.50 and $12 per hour and some positions may include a bonus based on sales.

Requirements:

Ticket Taker
(Main Entrance)

Ticket Sales and Services

Description:

Sells reserved seats to Pageant of the Masters and provides auxiliary ticket services and Festival information.

Requirements:

Customer service skills, cash handling and computer skills, window and phone positions available; no telemarketing. Must be at least 18 or high school graduate. Day and/or evening shifts available. Available to work through August 31 or close to it.

Pageant Usher

Requirements:

Friendly, service oriented, patient, able to walk up and down stairs, work outdoors in evenings, in various types of weather. Available nights, weekends, holidays.

Art Center Workshop Staff

Description:

Assists patrons in creating a wide array of art projects (ex: masks, paper making, marbling, scratch art, etc.)

Requirements:

Personable, outgoing, creative, formal/informal training with various art mediums helpful, available weekends, position stands for long periods of time, outside environment.

Operations Crew Member

Description:

Keeps grounds area clean and organized by sweeping and raking, wiping down tables, taking out trash, cleaning, restocking, moving tables.

Requirements:

Dependable, friendly, service oriented, available weekends.  Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.  Works in an outdoor environment, walks for long periods.

Souvenir Program Sales

Pageant Stage Crew

7:30pm – 10:45pm, 7 nights per week for 8 weeks

Description:

Moves Pageant of the Masters set pieces backstage on cue during performances.

Requirements:

Extremely dependable. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Works every night from July 5 through August 31.  Must be 18 or over.

This position is full-time, year-round, hourly (compensation DOE), and includes a generous benefit package.

Property Maintenance and Electrical Technician

Off Season:

M-F 8:30 am to 5:00 pm but includes occasional weekends and/or OT for special events; and OT hours and/or weekends closer to the start of the summer season.

July & August:

Position works evenings, 6 to 7 nights a week with varying hours, and occasionally oversee seasonal operations staff.

Description:

The Property Maintenance & Electrical Technician is responsible for electrical maintenance as well as grounds maintenance for the Festival of Art’s property.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs electrical installations, repairs and preventative maintenance on Festival electrical systems and associated equipment.
  • Property maintenance includes plumbing, drywall, painting, concrete and maintenance of commercial boiler and HVAC.
  • Maintenance of Festival communication systems including phone system, alarms and camera systems.
  • Moves and installs computer equipment as needed.
  • Responds to emergencies (i.e. alarm calls, equipment failure, broken pipes), when needed.
  • Coordinates power and communication needs for special events functions.
  • Ensures equipment is handled in a safe manner and in a way that minimizes wear and tear.
  • Interacts with Festival staff, management, artists and the public, responds in a professional manner to questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years previous experience with electrical, plumbing, and light construction.
  • Requires flexibility to change and perform various duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work additional days and hours prior to and during the summer season including nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with co-workers, management, artists, and the public.
  • Safety conscious, follow all company safety policies, report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
  • Must be reliable, able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to work in confined spaces, in high areas, stand, sit, walk, climb a ladder or work from an elevated lift. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to dust, various temperatures and weather conditions.
