| $65.00About the Class
Learn how to use watercolor materials and how to use them to create a wonderful watercolor painting of your favorite flowers. This class will focus on the techniques used in watercolor painting: design, value, color, and composition. The beauty of watercolor is in its fluidity that is unique to its medium unlike others such as oil painting and acrylic.
Meet the Instructor
Nikita Young earned a AA in Fine Art from Orange Coast College and has also attended art communities and workshops. Besides having opportunities to work with some well-known sculptors like John Colman and Bruno Lucchesi, she was fortunate enough to learn from Richard MacDonald. Upon seeing only one image of her work, Richard MacDonald enthusiastically invited her to his workshop in Monterey and then in the following year, he provided a scholarship for another workshop. Richard MacDonald generously has been a mentor ever since. Nikita Young’s sculptures have been acknowledged, including awards for first place in sculpture and the best in show in some local juried art shows. And her work has been represented by galleries in Laguna Beach and Scottsdale.
