Performer: Echoes

Echoes is a collectivist, tri-coastal jazz quartet composed of musicians who met at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. By augmenting its already unorthodox instrumentation with a variety of electronic instruments, the quartet has cultivated a unique and cohesive band sound. Formed in early 2014, the band has already recorded and toured at a prolific rate, having released two acclaimed albums and completed extensive tours of Canada, India, Jordan, the Netherlands, and the United States. The ensemble has also conducted an extensive amount of teaching as a group, having been sponsored by the US Embassy to give master classes throughout the schools of Amman, Jordan in January 2016. Echoes has expanded their domestic presence through two residencies at the renowned Avaloch Farm Music Institute in New Hampshire, where they were the youngest ensemble to ever be awarded a residency. The ensemble will be touring the west coast in summer 2018 in support of their latest record, “Confluence”.
