About the Class

Wax painting, also known as encaustic painting, is a unique and exciting art form. This ancient art form was used in Egypt and can be found attached to mummies! Come join our class where it’s impossible to mess up and its so fun you’ll want to do it at home.

Meet the Instructor

Carla Meberg is an award-winning printmaker who loves to teach.  She teaches printmaking, book making, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, encaustic and marbling at the Susi Q Senior Center, Glennwood House, the teen shelter and other venues in Orange County. She has been a nominee for Laguna Beach artist of the year and currently serves as president for Laguna Outreach for Community Arts (LOCA).

Class Waiver

Parents or guardians are required to fill out and sign a waiver before their child can participate in the Youth Arts Education classes. Please complete and submit the waiver prior to the class for a more quick and easy check in process.
