The Festival of Arts is pleased to announce a new exhibit at foaSOUTH entitled “Landscapes” featuring the work of prominent landscape painters, Scott Albert and Jeff Horn. Their artwork will be on display through July 9, 2016. The public is invited to special receptions during First Thursdays Art Walk on May 5, June 2 and July 7 in Laguna Beach.

“Both painters are renowned for their distinctive styles,” said curator Pat Sparkuhl. “Scott captures scenic environments with extreme detail in his watercolor paintings and Jeff, a plein air painter, works outdoors to depict nature and seascapes. The exhibit is a stunning display of these artists’ passion for nature and artistic talent.”

Scott Albert and Jeff Horn will also be exhibiting in this summer’s Festival of Arts Fine Art Show July 5 – August 31, 2016.

ABOUT SCOTT ALBERT

foaSouth_Landscapes_Albert_webScott Albert graduated in 1983 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Art degree and a concentration in Industrial Design. After graduation, he moved to Orange County and worked in product design for almost a decade. This time helped Scott to refine his skills and rediscover his true interest, to be a watercolor artist. He is self-taught in watercolors and mostly a studio painter, as this provides a controlled environment in which to work. In 2006, Scott’s work was accepted at the Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach, where he has had the privilege to exhibit for eleven consecutive years. He has also participated in a series of exhibits at the Wells Fargo Bank in Laguna Beach, Coastline Community College and foaSOUTH.
