“I believe as an artist should be always evolving. To challenge myself and get out of the comfort zone which will bring the elements of freshness and surprise to the artworks.”

ARTIST BIO

Jason Li, a resident of Southern California, is award-winning artist. Recently he has completed 30’ watercolor mural which commissioned by a major hospital in San Diego. His artworks have been collected by art collectors and art lovers. His artworks also enjoy by millions via a variety of consumer products such as stationery and decorative accessories throughout the United States and around the world.

Jason earned his bachelor degree from Guangzhou Institute of Fine Art, one of the most prestigious art institutes in China. He moved to California in early 90s and got his master degree in graphic design.

After he graduated with his master degree, he joined a growing giftware company in Southern California. He worked his way from lead illustrator to art director within a few years. His computer graphic design knowledge transformed the product development department into a digital power house. His artworks and designs help the company gained national and international recognition which lead to a great success.

Jason’s artistry became the signature style of that company. However, his name remained largely unknown until he started his own company Lissom Design. Lissom Design has been a platform to showcase his unique and exquisite artistry which brings a breath of fresh air to the gift industry. After years running Lissom Design, over 35 product launch seasons, Jason has created a premier giftware brand. He still paints original artworks, oversees the design concept. He develops E-commerce strategies to grow the company into a multi-dimensional business including online B2B, wholesale and retail. He also licenses his artworks to various industries. His artworks are loved by his loyal customers around the globe. His artworks inspire people, and bring comfort and joys.

Create art is in his DNA, he always craves the freedom and creativities of the fine art. The spontaneous artistic expression and the magic of the watercolor are always draw him into the fine art world.

As classic trained portrait artist, his portrait artworks have unmatched precision with a wistful dreamy quality as a gallery director put it. He is well known for his landscape paintings which are capture the essence of beautiful California coastlines, sunny deserts and breathtaking forests with his extraordinary technical skills. Jason’s art channels his affection for the beauty of nature.

Jason has been very active in art community. He has been invited to some high-profile Plein Air invitational events which include Laguna Plein Air Invitational and Borrego Art Institute Plein Air Invitational. Doing workshops and demos have been his ways to connect with people and give back to the communities.

He is the signature member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Artist member of California Art Club. His artworks exhibited at regional and national galleries and museums in the United States and China.
