ARTIST STATEMENT

“I’ve heard it said that perfection is an illusion. The goal with my art is to reach an acceptable level of imperfection.”

ARTIST BIO

Randy attended Cal State University Fullerton where he received his BA in art. Then after 2 years of traveling around the world he returned to CSUF where he received his masters in art in 1980.

The same year, he started showing his work at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. The following year he juried into the Festival of Arts. For the past 40 years he has committed himself to these two Laguna Beach shows. Working alone in his studio, these two shows keep him working all year long. He along with business partner and fellow artist Terrence Thornsley built the first artist live/work building in Laguna Beach where he continues to create his function all artwork. Most of his work is held in private collections.
