ARTIST BIO
Siân Poeschl grew up in the Eryri region of Wales, U.K. but did not start her passion in the visual arts. With years of training, Siân has a Bachelor of Arts, a Post-graduate Degree in Education and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography. Through a generous Rotary Club International Scholarship, Siân studied at University of California, Irvine. Like many glass artists, Siân learnt the techniques of fusion through an apprenticeship with Laguna Beach artists Jane and Patty Slowsky.
Siân brings movement and boldness to her contemporary work. Inspired by the natural environment and the geometric patterns in the urban landscape Siân captures the fluidity of movement within the rigid structure of glass.
Siân is a Laguna Beach resident living and working in Laguna Canyon. She has exhibited her work at John Wayne Airport, Laguna Art Museum, Sherman Gardens and at the Sawdust Art Festival.
