Artist Biography:

Born in Norwich, England, Arthur Beaumont immigrated to the U.S. via Canada at 19 years old. He studied with art with MacDonald-Wright in Los Angeles, Brangwyn in London, and Laurens in Paris. He taught at Chouinard Art Institute in the late 20’s. In the Navel Reserve he began painting battle ships and other navel subjects. During WW2 he was a war artist, documenting navel battles. He later focused his attention on watercolors of ships and harbor scenes.
